Driving Leads for a B2B SaaS

I led the end-to-end SEO and content strategy for a global B2B SaaS company specializing in data intelligence, data integration, and analytics solutions. The goal was to increase qualified traffic, optimize conversion on demo pages, and support lead generation across multiple products, solutions, and capabilities.

Overview

The client offers a comprehensive Data Intelligence Platform, including capabilities such as knowledge graph, data discovery, metadata management, data governance, and AI-ready data solutions. Their website needed a holistic SEO approach to drive visibility for product pages, solutions, and industry-specific use cases. Additionally, they were expanding into international markets, requiring the integration of French, Spanish, and German content.

Challenges

The project presented several challenges that required a comprehensive and strategic approach. The client’s complex product portfolio, which included multiple products, solutions, and industry-specific use cases, needed a clear SEO structure and effective cross-linking to ensure discoverability.

The existing website had technical limitations, including crawl errors, missing schema markup, and opportunities to improve site speed, all of which impacted search performance. In addition, there were significant content gaps across product and solution pages that needed to be addressed to align with search intent and business objectives.

Expanding into international markets introduced another layer of complexity, requiring the integration of French, Spanish, and German content while ensuring proper localization and SEO optimization for each market.

Finally, while demo pages were generating traffic, conversion rates were lower than desired, making it essential to implement CRO improvements. I also faced the emerging challenge of optimizing for AI-driven search engines and generative results, requiring innovative approaches to Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Strategy & Responsibilities

I developed and executed a holistic SEO strategy that combined technical SEO, content optimization, multilingual SEO, CRO improvements, and emerging search strategies to drive qualified traffic and pipeline growth.

Technical SEO: Conducted a comprehensive technical audit to identify and resolve crawl and indexing issues, optimized site speed, and implemented schema markup across products, solutions, and blog content. Site architecture was refined to improve internal linking, breadcrumb navigation, and overall crawlability.

Content SEO: I led a detailed content optimization effort across product pages, solution pages, capabilities, and case studies. The case studies were strategically linked to relevant solutions, capabilities, and product pages, enhancing internal linking and supporting discoverability. On-page SEO was implemented throughout, including optimized headings, metadata, and internal links, ensuring alignment with search intent and business goals.

Multilingual SEO: As the company expanded into French, Spanish, and German, I coordinated with localization teams to ensure proper translation and search intent alignment. I also conducted a thorough hreflang review to ensure that each language version was correctly indexed and linked, maximizing international SEO performance.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Demo pages were analyzed and improved with clearer calls-to-action, optimized page structure, and content adjustments designed to increase lead submissions and revenue opportunities.

AEO + GEO Strategy

For AI-powered search, I guided the content team to produce content that was clear, helpful, and direct, integrating first-party data insights and unique perspectives.

We created informational hubs around key topics to improve content depth and relevance. For AEO, GEO, and SEO, I identified primary questions with high revenue potential, for example, queries like “recommend me solutions for data platforms for financial services” , and optimized content to address them.

I also recommended comparison pages highlighting our solution versus competitors’ solutions, as these are often favored by LLMs in generative results. Additionally, we leveraged third-party reviews and mentions to strengthen authority and increase visibility in AI-driven search results.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Agency Management: I worked closely with product marketing, content, PR, and web development teams, while also coordinating with external SEO and analytics agencies to ensure alignment with KPIs and broader marketing goals.

Measurement & Iteration: Performance was continuously tracked using SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Search Console, with insights regularly shared with leadership. Strategies were refined based on data and emerging trends to maximize traffic, engagement, and lead generation.
